I kinda feel like I’m cheating on my family by sharing this pizza recipe. But then again, I’m sure my Italian mother supports ease at all costs. In fact anyone that reads this that knows her is thinking - Lori definitely supports the chill life. Making pizza from scratch is no longer a process - this is seriously easy!

I haven't had this side since I lived in Vancouver! I'm not sure why, but truffle oil was sooo popular in Vancouver about 5 years ago. Everyone was serving up truffle fries (ps - yummmm) and it was probably the most popular side on the menu. Truffle brussel sprouts was a side at one restaurant I served at and I became obsessed with this dish! If you know someone who doesn't like brussel sprouts, I'd like to see what they think after this!

GRANOLA

I've really been enjoying these "colder" mornings in Brisbane! It's a little cozier, a little darker and just all around a bit more comfortable. I never thought I'd say it, but sometimes summer in Brisbane is just way too hot!
I love that with the change of seasons, my body starts to crave different meals too. It feels so much better to eat something warm over a smoothie! I love my oatmeal, but I've been trying to play around with a little more tastes. This granola is a perfect topping and can be altered every batch so it doesn't feel like you are eating the exact same thing every morning (if that isn't your thing!)

I tried something different and use banana flour instead of regular flour. I saw it in Woolys and got curious! The reason for banana flour is to help with all the extra banana waste that happens on farms. I thought it was a good enough reason to give it a try!

Cauliflower has become one of the most popular veggies these days. It is so versatile - and I'm sure we have all seen it as rice, pizza crust, even gnocchi! While it is a highly versatile ingredient, I like to use it straight up as it is. In this recipe, I'm not trying to make it something it's not. Just adding some flavours to make it a perfect side dish!

"Egg yolk" Dip

This dip is my new obsession. When we look at plant-based eaters, there are generally two types of people. One type hates the taste of animal products while others loved the taste but due to compassion and ethical morals cannot eat animal products any longer. I am the latter. Sometimes I feel embarrassed to admit it, but its true! This dip is my new life saver, its adds so much flavor and without the high fat of egg yolks.

I don't know about you - but I never feel good with too much sugar in the morning. Even if it is an all natural fruit smoothie, I need to have protein and fats to satiate my appetite and balance my energy levels. Do you ever find you crash before lunch time? You might want to focus on lessening your sugar load in the AM!

I am happy to say not only was I able to make something edible, but delicious. A quick and convenient recipe, only taking about 30 minutes to make. Enjoy!

The addition of beets into hummus is a great way to get lil ones some more nourishment without worrying about the taste. Not to mention it looks beautiful!

Beets are very nourishing for the blood. This is an important addition to vegetarian diets as they also provide great sustainable energy.

ANTI-INFLAMMATORY JUICE

This juice is very refreshing and the ingredients are very therapeutic and cooling!
Generally, I feel too cold rather than too warm.  Not in Australia!  My skin felt inflamed, and my face was a little more red than normal.  I felt the heat.  These ingredients are very cooling in nature, and made a great tonic when blended together!
